Phenotype
Double mutant; activation-tagging transgenic line generated in the weak bri1-5 background with construct pSKI015 via floral dipping Agrobacterium-mediated transformation technique; multiple bri1-5 phenotype defects are suppressed by brs1-1D; doble mutants have primary inflorescence stems twice as long as those with bri1-5 alone and rosettes are wider because the leaves are bigger and not curled; brs1-1D suppresses both the shortened secondary inflorescence branch length phenotype and the late flowering of bri1-5; other traits, which are unaffected in bri1-5 relative to wt plants such as flower number, coinflorescence number and branch number are not altered in doble mutant plants; BRS1 encodes a serine carboxypeptidase-like protein, which regulates BRI1 signaling.
